The Guesthouse St. Ursula is situated between the Castle and the Convent.

In the north it borders directly upon the cultivated garden of the Stockalperschloss.
To the south, the St. Ursula convent is just a few steps away. Access to Kloster St. Ursula either via Alte Simplonstrasse or through the garden at the back.

The "Obere Wegenerhaus" - the historical name - is well situated in the old part of Brig.

From rooms and garden you have a wonderfully direct view on the castle with its three towers and its park as well as the surrounding mountains.

Brig is 680 m above sea level, at the foot of the Simplon Pass, which has been an important pass crossing since the Middle Ages, connecting the Valais with northern Italy.
The well-known merchant Kaspar von Stockalper used the route for his business as well as Napoleon later.
The Simplon region offers a fantastic mountain panorama and wonderful tours for hikers.

City centre, shops, restaurants, bars and the central Sebastian place are only in 300 m, the station only in 500 m distance.

The central location is an ideal starting point for excursions to the hiking and winter sports regions of the area, such as: Zermatt, Saas-Fee, Belalp, Aletsch, Goms.
